Tilda

June 16th, 2008

This is the kind of photo that a mother recognizes immediately. That’s my kid!

Tilda does not drink from the stainless steel bowl from which Other Guy drinks, but races into the bathroom whenever anyone goes in just in case they’ll turn the faucet on very slightly so she can sip like a princess.

Now, isn’t she just a great poster child for distance adoption?

    Yes, she had developed the habit of sitting in my round kitchen sink waiting for drops and drinking them. She doesn’t seem to mind getting her feet wet as much as she minds behaving like a cat and drinking from a bowl. I miss her!!

    Yes, I suppose you do. Shall I have her shaved so she’ll be the same as the last time you saw her?

    Totally amazing! We had one cat that even splashed dripping water towards his face using a paw.

    Cute kitty! I used to have a cat that did the same thing. I guess she wants fresh, cool water.

    What a smart cat, running water is ALWAYS better than still water!

    @Beatriz\’ Suitcase Contents:

    Hmmm, I hadn’t thought of it that way. I am going to take a photo of OG drinking his water, because he is a two-fisted, literally, water drinking cat. Bowl between front paws, uses chin to tip it and slurps about a pint at a time.

    @Gil:

    She sticks her paw in, but it doesn’t seem as organized as a face splashing thing. She doesn’t mind getting wet at all. I get her up on the edge to keep her dry because she is going to walk on the floors eventually.

    @Mary:

    There is the river at the bottom of the garden?

    No baby there?
