Roasted baby Tropea onions

TROPEA BABIES

Now a lot of people will be happy to tell you how delicious Tropea onions are, but how many will cook you up a dish of immature ones and let you convince yourself?

Snip off anything dry or dirty. Wash, trim, lay them in a shallow oven dish. Drizzle with good olive oil, a bit of salt and a sprinkling of dry bread crumbs. Pop them into a 175°C/350°F oven until done. That usually takes about 30 minutes.

Onions are extremely good for your health and these are tasty enough to do good for your reputation as a cook, too.

If I take off my glasses this photo looks great. With them on it is fuzzy. I think you should either remove your glasses or squint.

Looks as though someone did not use a tripod. Low light, low shutter speed = blurry photo – I know something about this.

Recipe sounds simple but delicious though!

Best,

Alex
