I am hesitant to post all the things that were cooked for last Friday night, because I have photos but can’t post them. So here is a list:
Polenta Carbonara
Polenta ai funghi e Pecorino
Braised pork and sausages in tomato braising sauce
Leek souffle
Plum crumble
Soon!

Polenta Carbonara - I’m really looking forward to that! I do hope the photo situation will be sorted soon.
(Must tell you that Mum in Law cooked us Pasta Genovese while she was here - yes, she used potatoes and beans - just like you said and it was delicious.)

Polenta… yum! I will like to try those.
Thanks for your message, and yes, we would like to try your pancake recipe! Thanks,

Believe it or not, I have never once cooked polenta, mainly because the one and only time I ever ate it I thought it was nasty. OK, so it was almost 40 years ago, but I still remember it as a negative experience. But, it must be good if so many people like to eat it, so one of these days I’m going to have to give it a shot.

@Mary:
I DO like plain boiled polenta with something on top, but these two dishes are cooked more or less like lasagne in layers with good stuff baked in. That made them ideal for a buffet meal because they sat happily hot and waited for the appetites.

@casalba:
I make mistakes, but not without trying to find out the truth first! I have a Genovese girlfriend who cooks very well, so I can at least ask the horse’s mouth. I can link to a photo of the carbonara so I am going to post it shortly.

This all sounds super delicious even without the photos! I love polenta so I would have been very happy with that not to mention the plum crumble. I do hope we can join you one of these days.

@amanda@A Tuscan View…:
You said November, so pick 7 or 21 and pick fast! I’ve discovered that there CAN be too many people in my house.
