Hi, Mom
April 28th, 2008
This is a public service announcement to allow my houseguest to send greetings to her mother in Seattle.
This is Tilda.
As you can see, her haircut is improving quite nicely. She doesn’t do many picturesque things, but goes from favorite chair to windowsill and back again. She doesn’t like the other cats any better than she did, my animal expert sister says Persians do not know they are cats, but she certainly enjoys company if they will pet her. With four windows to choose from, her view on the world while not wide, is varied. She has actually been on the ground of outside once, but hasn’t expressed much interest in returning.

Pretty kitty. Love that coloring! Is she shedding? My dogs are currently leaving mini-dogs around the house daily….

I think she’s cute

No, she isn’t shedding, she is growing out from a shaving she had not long before she got here. She is very cute, especially in the early evening when she gets her crazy time.

Hello Matilda! She looks calm, and I’m glad her coat is returning. I’m really surprised that she hasn’t taken to being outside, since I always interpreted her falls from the roof as efforts to escape to the outside world. Maybe she was really just attempting to fly! I miss her like crazy. Is she acting as your alarm clock? Crazy time needs TOYS! Please tell her from me that her mom thinks of her every day. :)

She will surprise you. She cares nothing for her Frette blanket, all princess poses aside. She is an absolute trollop about getting with men visitors. She no longer cares to sleep with anyone at all and therefore does not wake me up. I wake her up with a jolly “good morning” when I come up the stairs.
We had a good talk about “who luvs ya hunny” this afternoon. You have your work cut out for you.

You will have to win her back to civilized life because she’s become a savage here and quite likes it.

But she is still the only cat I know who when the night is cold she WANTS to crawl under the covers and lie around your cold feet. That’s worth something.

She pooped in the fireplace?

You mean she came up with this just for me? I threw her out for a while yesterday while I was gardening. She-s never going to choose to go out, so we must encourage her because there is all that lovely litter ready for use and it-s really nice out.

@alison:
She hasn’t today or yesterday.

That’s a relief! She’s longing for roof tiles I’ll wager. Her former toilet of choice. *sigh*

@Alison:
She escaped to the roof one day when I was potting geraniums at the bathroom window. I spent hours trying to show her better ways of getting off the roof and she was having none of that. When she was ready she leapt onto the windowbox full of baby geraniums. We do not open that window anymore unless the bathroom door is closed. I plan to take her out and show her how to get on the roof two other ways. It is unfortunate that Marcello moved the reaper the cats used to use to gain the first roof.
