Do you love the idea? Or think it stinks?

Convertible shoes…. who’d a thunk? If they came in a color you’d actually wear, would you consider them?

Love the idea, but hate the thought of constantly being afraid that the heel’s gonna fold when walking…

Even if I could wear heels, which I can’t, I doubt I’d even consider wearing these. All I can see when I look at them is twisted ankles and broken legs and hips. There doesn’t appear to be any support at all under the instep, which makes falling off them more likely than staying in them. I could be wrong, but I’m going to let someone else do the experimenting.
I think we’re looking at short-lived, if any, fad here - I don’t see any future to them at all.

Hmm. I’ve always been of the idea that something that tries to be two different things isn’t go to be very good at either. But that’s just me.

KC, that has been my lifelong prejudice, too! We are twins under the skin.
I don’t wear sky high heels anymore, but if I did I might try them just for the heck of it.
I have driving loafers in the car. Does anybody else bother with that? It is against the law in Italy to drive wearing backless shoes.

Lynne, on looking again I realize that what becomes the wedge for the flat IS arch support when it is a pump. The difference is that where the foot bends is more flexible, and that is what I check first when buying heels anyway. If it won’t bend, you will suffer!
I think the text said there’s a lock for the heel.

HIgh arches and high heels just don’t mix, so for me, no. The idea is a cool one, and I’m wondering why it’s never been done before?

Brilliant! If you wear heels, I’d certainly think they were worth trying on. They’re awfully pretty…. I wonder how much they cost, though.

Did it not say on the website? Anyway, they are Australian dollars whatever the price. Hands up everyone who knows the value of Au$.

Against the law to wear backless shoes? I would be arrested daily! Oh my! I cannot wear heels, but these are cute!

The company contacted me and said that they are a prototype and not yet available, and so I told them to make some shorter heels.

Hmmm…if I still wore heels, I’d love those. When I was 20, I would have worn the hot pink ones, but at 60+, perhaps not !

I’ll take two pairs, please!
BTW - is it REALLY against the law to drive here while wearing backless shoes? Like, flip flops?!! Oops…

Not just here. Really.

I would, but I too would take them in shorter heels, and softer colors.

Those are cool! Being that I am 2 inches taller than my husband I am stuck in flat shoes forever. but if I had those, the second he was out of sight I could be in heel land again! I agree with the other posters, they need better colors.

Laura, as soon as I can save enough money to come to Paris you are on the spot.
I think when they made the prototype they used the company logo colors. It’s a firm that writes insurance for female drivers. So naturally because it’s girl stuff it’s pink, right? Yeah, because pink means girl… grrrr. Don’t get me started.
Why aren’t men proud that they caught a really big one?

Jessica, I too was 2″ taller than my husband (we married in 1969) - but after a few years, we decided it didn’t matter and I went back to wearing heels - we just never stood next to each other in group photographs…

Judith, not surprisingly, I know the value of Australian $ :) How much are they ? (I am prepared to be shocked).
20. admin | July 5th, 2007 at 2:45 pm
Prototypes, no price but since they are unique, probably a lot.

Haha! I think they are fun & funny! I like the ‘good & plenty’ color combo, too.
Oh, by the way, did you see these?
