Busywork, or some ideas are better than others

I bought some elegant elongated servers the other day for desserts or antipasto. There were huge stickers on the backs and no matter what I did I couldn’t budge them. It wasn’t as easy as the following says, but by alternating approaches they are about to be usable.

WD-40 is what I use, if the surface is safe for it. Works every time.

Judith, next time in the US look for some stuff called Goop Off (I think that is what it is caled.) It works like a charm. of course, WE 40 does anything and everything, too.

WD-40. Sometimes vegetable oil will work, too.

It was a a combo of cooking oil and hot soapy water, back and forth 4 times that did it.

There is NO WD-40 nor GooGone here. There used to be WD-40 at the Husquvarna farm machines dealership, but not since about 10 years. There is also no Naval Jelly, which I also miss.

Hey Judith. Is it just me, or are those pesky stickers even stickier here in Italy?? Also, I got a kick out of that gal’s “stickas”…he he he

Simple lighter fluid will do the trick. Better than “Goo Gone” and the like, as they seem to have maybe a bit of acetone in them that damages color on some things.
