A site for me to love…

March 10th, 2008

A whole site dedicated to preventing food waste! Even though it is British I think we can all learn from it. Remember, everything you throw away cheats somebody hungry.

Lovefoodhatewaste is where to go.

What do you mean “even though it’s British”? Non capisco.

Yeah, what\’s that supposed to mean Judith, as you well know we British are very thrifty due to all that war time rationing. So watch it or no more buns. OK

PS What about some summer smocks and tunics and things without big tight belts, where are they this year, hey?

Opps, just read your previous post, I guess that\\\’s where all the loose things are. Well done at least a \\\’real\\\’ person can wear them and still have some room for that extra helping of pasta, British or not.

Even though it is British means that many of the resources and ideas are expressed in British English or refer to places in the UK. Those details either do not apply to the rest of us or must be translated by the rest of us… that’s all.

Example: one serving of a vegetable is said to be 80 g whereas the same serving in the US is said to be 1/2 cup which could weigh 50 grams or 300 grams depending on what it is. I personally found the vegetable serving sizes way tiny.
