Puglia ancora

I am off for a mostly foodie trip to Puglia. I was going to link my Puglia pages here, but it seems that most of the photos are gone missing again! Argh! If you don’t mind no photos, enter Puglia into the search box.

Trullo

So this will have to hold you over unless I find a way to post on the road. I am going to see more of the sea this trip, and catch more Lecce and some Taranto. I have in mind to see more of where things are made and how, as well as to check out a cooking school I read about. Maybe I’ll take a job? I will definitely spend some time checking feasibility for culinary tours in the area, and I’ll have dinner with ole Jeffo in Brindisi. Do you know that Brindisium was the port from which Caesar left Italy to fight the civil war in what is now Greece? It’s only abou 75 miles to Macedonia, where his victory began, looking like a defeat. Now you know.

I am packing my bags and my camera, my notebooks and my Palm. I am thinking what a great thing it would be if you could talk to your MP3 player!

Buon viaggio! Now I am missing our visit to Gioia del Colle. We need to get back to Puglia!

Huh… comments from both of us! REALLY, REALLY, REALLY interested in your opinion of Taranto, and any other of the towns in the sole of Italy (perhaps “arch” would be more “SOULful”). Will you be posting from the road?
