Sometimes it is difficult for non-Americans to understand the charms of bagels, but we don’t care. More for us!

Run to Michelle at Bleeding Espresso and catch yourself a nice bagel to go with that cuppa java she serves.

I love bagels. Cream cheese and salmon is my favourite filling. If you ever pop over to London there’s a bakery on Brick Lane which sells them fresh with all sorts of fillings and it’s open 24 hours a day – a favourite hangout for all the black cab drivers. Oh dear, I’m making myself have a craving now.
