My column is published this morning. Go read all about those pants!

Those pants look as though they are made out of something hot and sweaty-feeling. And I am pretty sure they would not be at all flattering. Did you try them on?

Great article, Judith! I notice the low waist is still all around, too, although I am not sure how the higher waist will suit me so I’m ok with that for now.

We went to the market this morning, and I headed directly for a precious white and yellow belted sundress. It was sooo cute, my size and 80 EUROS! At the market. Do people REALLY spend that kind of money at the market where they have to try clothes on in the back of a stinky ole van??

@Cherrye at My Bella Vita:

I think they must. They never seem to have sales.

@eg:

Yup! Poly chiffon. If you dance in those all night, your thighs disappear.

Great article! I won\’t be buying those pants though. And, as for the girls in their cowboy boots, I just saw one yesterday. That\’s one style I can\’t understand. Last year they were walking around in 90 degree weather with knee-high boots on. Too hot for me.

Not only was it a bad style to start with, but that was TWO YEARS AGO! Surely you can’t do something stupid for a fad three years in a row? OTH, they are still showing their fat over their tight, low pants.

I don’t believe you well enough to be tricked into putting those on…. Oh, the horror!

Actually, the shirring should make it impossible to tell what is pants and what is girl. They are not appropriate to my age so no, I didn’t try them.

Great fashion critique. For me informative. I never know these things unless you tell me. But your economy!! Extremely distressing to learn yours is as sad as ours. Local is bad enough but international is frightening.
I try not to remember when…

@MissJoe:

Oil prices (we have no petroleum and must buy every drop) have finished the job the crooks in the Berla government started some years back. Here is a frustrating note. Berlusconi crowed and bragged throughout the Prodi government that he could keep them from enacting any thing. Then he ran on the grounds that in 2 years Prodi had enacted nothing.
