Fashion: Paris wrapped

Both the dress by Sorbier and the girl look capable of a good time and ready for it.

It’s dresses like this one that make Elie Saab show up on red carpets around the world.

Valentino has left us with one last big lipsticky smooch. Who will do this for us now that he is gone?

I nominate this Mabille shirt as “Most Likely to Be Seen on Carla Bruni on a Diplomatic Visit.” Am I wrong? Is there anyone else who would? Who? After leafing through the Mabille shots I could only wonder why hire beautiful girls and then make them ugly?

This is only one of a line by Lefranc.Ferrant that I loved. I picked this one to show because it reminds me of how old men will wear their trousers higher… and higher. This line I would wear, not anywhere special, just at home doing the things I do. Loved it.

Who would predict that Gaultier would produce a line of parasols that make sense? The worst burns I have ever had came when the sun shone in from the side.

This was the girl I wanted to be in 1975 and never was. Edling has recreated her: cool, smooth and confident.
The photos were selected from the fashion coverage of the UK Telegraph.
when it is one day revealed that not all who wandered down the run way where of the fair sex, I wonder: Will I be able to pretend to be surprised? I take heart in that I can study the best acting job I have ever seen until I get the look of surprise down pat. The look of surprise I will emulate was first seen on the face of one of the stars of Sex in the City. She looked shocked and surprised when the interviewer asked if she knew that some called Sex in the City soft porn. Look, I could be wrong, the actress who looked so surprised might be the single stupidest human being in all of Christendom. If not, then the title “Sex in the City” says it all. Soft porn. Not that there’s anything wrong with that mind you.
I have never seen the program and therefore can’t offer an opinion. Given that some of these models are not made to look very feminine, in the staging area backstage it would be very clear if one wasn’t a girl. It does sometimes look like some designers would prefer that they weren’t girls.
It’s true that in one of the slideshows, one models does look like a transvestite. I forget which shot, but yeah, I would not be surprised either. It might be deliberate, mind you, part of the show, part of the fun.
I too would like to look like that last girl in blue and brown. Let me lose 25 lbs and I’ll get those glasses (will need contacts, alas). We’ll see. Well, I won’t because I need prescription sunglasses, LOL!
Only one? I thought there were many masculine looking models! But I also thought it was a styling thing. You know those models are naked as jaybirds in the staging area. If one is really a maschio instead of maschietto, everyone knows it.
Don’t please try to be as thin as that girl.
