My friends grilled mazzancolle were the hugest I have ever seen. This is a type of saltwater shrimp with no claws, unlike the scampi or gamberoni. They and the vegetables were grilled perfectly.

As you can see, this is a simple and ordinary little restaurant, but it has a very important location almost across from “Palazzo di Teodoro” which is reputed to be a palace of the early German emperor, but is not. It’s on every tourist map, however, so it’s easy to find il Passitore.
Both meals including water, wine and a big Coca Cola for my friend came to only euro 32, which is great in a tourist town.
