Dawn Sumner, my latest hero

I am reading day by day journals from Antarctica, where the redoubtable Ms Sumner is preparing to dive under the ice cap to retrieve ancient single cell fossils to see where Earth is and has been biologically. She write as easily as a novelist, uses words we all know and takes great photographs.
For a few minutes everyday I believe I could do this too. Do look and be sure to scroll down to see the wonderful seal who braved surfacing in the scientists’ structure to get a breath of air.
As a matter of fact, this blog IS a breath of air. She’s only going to be there two and a half months, so hurry over, perhaps to dream.
