Cassole: you may never get a better chance

[photopress:David__s_cassoulet.jpg,full,pp_image]

This cassole symbolizes the power of our food blogging community coming together. This well-loved and experienced ‘cacola’ will be your French guardian angel perched on a kitchen shelf; a link to the French Kitchens of the past; a cradle for your culinary hopes of the future.
And just to make sure you have the spirit of Camp Cassoulet (see multiple posts in the archive here and at David L’ site and Lucy Vanel’s), I will include a copy of the new Camp Cassoulet Authentic Workbook & Recipe Primer.

I’ll even throw in the beans! A kilo of Haricots Tarbais and the shipping by international post chez vous!

Kate Hill
teaches French cooking in France. Maybe you’ll go to her to learn to make cassoulet, but just in case you don’t, why not buy a raffle ticket that will win you this wonderful cassole and the beans and the instruction book? She will ship internationally!

Ummm, Judith, your link to the “nicest fellow in Paris” links to a guy who is more into pop music than cooking…

Your man is at http://www.davidlebovitz.com (with a V, not a W).

Thank you, a lot. There’s still only one nicest fellow in Paris.

I’ll tell you why not …I ordered a cassole from Kate Hill and it arrived poorly packed and in many pieces. Now, over three months later, she still will not respond to any of my communications. She’s now pulled down her ad for the cassoles on her blog site. This is a sign of more than just being a poor businessperson but mostly one that cannot be trusted.

John, it’s clear that you Googled cassole to find places you could complain. That post was over a year ago and was posted to promote a charitable contest. It’s really ungracious of you to do what you are doing, although I am sure it’s frustrating not to get answers to your queries.
